Quality Control Manager / Purchasing Agent
Here at Riverwood, Eric oversees and reviews all cabin plans to ensure all materials are on hand for the Cabins Production Team in New York. Eric is also responsible for ensuring that each cabin is built to the quality standards of the state, the customer, and our company. When not at work, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, camping, hiking, bike riding, hunting, and traveling.
Fun fact: Eric and his wife actually spent the first 4 months of married life traveling the United States in an RV!
Framing Team Leader
Here at Riverwood Cabins, you will find Ryan overseeing the production and workflow inside our Framing Shop, as well as helping us refine the overall design of our cabins. When Ryan is not at work, he loves singing (or directing a choir)! One of his favorite things is attending sacred choral concerts. He is married to his wife, Lynita, and they have 3 children, Adryan, Lyndon, and Lauryl.
Bucket List Item: Ryan wants to build a silo/lighthouse on a ridge overlooking the lake as a rental retreat!
Finish Shop Team Leader
Ben’s role with Riverwood is to manage the Finish Shop flow, build team chemistry, and motivate our team to create the best looking cabins in the industry. Outside of work, Ben and his wife Rose are currently building a tiny house! They also enjoy hiking and camping together.
Fun Fact: Ben’s first carpentry job was at Riverwood Cabins!
Onsite Team Leader
From the time a cabin is getting set to finishing the home interior, Leroy makes sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. He really enjoys answering all of the homeowners’ questions about the cabin or even why he wears suspenders ☺.
When Leroy is not at work, you may find him reading or helping out on the farm at home. CS Lewis, Ken Ham, David Platt are just a few great authors he loves. He also enjoys doing anything outdoors: biking, camping, hiking, baseball, and hockey.
Bucket List Item: Building a Riverwood Cabin in all 50 states!
Carol joined the team in June of 2017, assisting our cabin sales team with proposals and keeping track of the process & documentation after the sale. She is driven by helping our customers build their future! Carol also has a construction background and brings many years of experience to our team.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and making irreplaceable memories with her husband Matt and four children, Alyia, Christian, Erica, and Austin.
Fun Fact: In high school, she was an all-star athlete and actually played basketball on the Junior Olympic team, which allowed her represent the USA and travel to several countries across Europe!
Sterling makes sure that the finance and accounting function at Riverwood Cabins is operating as effectively and efficiently as possible so that each team at Riverwood has actionable insights to maximize their operations. Sterling and his wife Shelby moved to Nashville from Austin, TX with their Golden Retriever, Stella. Sterling and Shelby love good food and craft coffee, and are looking forward to exploring the Nashville food scene and discovering fantastic coffee shops.
Fun fact: Sterling and Shelby are high school sweethearts!
Kenton joined our team and jumped right in managing the purchasing of the materials used to build Riverwood Cabins. Kenton ensures we use quality materials in our building process and ensures that each branch has materials on hand to keep our shops moving along and our building times down. Kenton lives in Tennessee with his wife, Sherri, and their 3 children.
When he’s not at work or spending time with his family, Kenton enjoys flying small planes and riding his motorcycle.
Top item on Kenton’s bucket list: Touring Europe and Israel.
As Creative Director, Paul oversees all of the brand strategy and creative design for Riverwood Cabins. Paul was drawn to Riverwood Cabins because of his love of nostalgia and creating great memories. Paul loves to spend his time outside of work golfing, traveling, cooking, and making memories with his wife Nikki and two children, Samuel and Zoe.
Fun Fact: Paul and his family lived in Hawaii for a year and a half, where they created unforgettable memories on the island of Maui.
Patrick leads our marketing team by identifying opportunities for growth and developing strategies to ensure that we expand and grow the Riverwood Cabins brand across the country. As husband to Mary June and dad to Portia, Benjamin, William, and Bridget, Patrick is a family man who is passionate about faith, family, food, and friendships. Patrick enjoys tinkering with his 1984 BMW, reading books, and catching up on Netflix.
Someday, Patrick and Mary June plan to take their family to Europe to live, work, and study for at least a few months. They hope to accomplish this goal sometime in the next decade!
Nothing fires Bill up more than being part of a team with a mission. Known for being driven, approachable and a tad out of the ordinary, Bill sees his greatest asset as his word and its dependability. Bill’s role at Riverwood Cabins and Woodtex is to help the team identify goals and develop plans to reach them.
When Bill isn’t bringing passion and intensity to the team, he’s got his game face on as a husband and dad. Bill pours as much energy as he can into being a husband to his wife, Amanda, and a father to their five kids, who often have him geared up for anything from baseball to dance, with some college prep in between.
Kent is a strategic planner and works daily on developing and perfecting the vision and plans of Woodtex and Riverwood Cabins. He likes to bring a method to the madness and keep the team pulling in the same direction. His goal is to promote, drive, and develop people through creative ideas and processes, encouraging them to reach their fullest potential. Kent’s personal interests include cycling (the pedal kind), devouring good books, strategizing, conversations, and meeting new people. One item on his bucket list is to never retire.
Greatest personal achievement: Marrying his wife and also developing more patience. (He admits his wife taught him everything he knows about patience.)
Sheldon Wortinger is the Production Manager at the Greenville Cabins Plant. He supervises the production of the cabins and keeps operations running smoothly. Sheldon’s wife, Sheri, is a social worker for humana and his son, Mark (15), is a varsity golfer at Oconee Christian Academy. After completing Honey-dos for the wife, of course; Sheldon loves renovating muscle cars and trucks, building in his workshop, and loves to cook and grill. Sheldon has seen every episode of Treehouse Masters and has plans to build his dream tree house mansion.
Nate is a sketcher, designer, creator, maker, and shaper of great things. He is good at turning rough drafts and ideas into detailed drawings and floor plans for any Wood-Tex cabin or modular home. He is teachable, always wanting to learn and grow in his career. Nate is the bridge between the cabin sales team and the construction crew, working directly with both teams in order to build beautiful, high-quality homes. The attention he pays to even the smallest of detail, his organizational skills, and his techie personality all blend together perfect for his job position. In his free time, Nate enjoys drawing and design, carpentry, and spending time with his family and friends.
The item of highest priority on Nate’s bucket list is to travel the world.
Scheduling deliveries for customers, dispatching trucks, and leading the Delivery and Onsite Team’s at Woodtex are just a few of the things that consume Nelson’s day. For someone to fill the Transportation Leader position, they needed to be detailed and organized. He is both. Nelson has a dry sense of humor and is a great team player. He does well with relating to his team and making sure communication is open between all of them. Nelson enjoys reading, raising boer goats, playing guitar, spending time with his family, playing volleyball and softball, and hanging out with friends.
Greatest personal achievement: Raising his family for the Lord.
Noah manages the crew responsible for framing in the Cabin production shop. He organizes the building process, inspects the team’s work, and completes the state-required paperwork. If there is any time left, he helps build! Noah enjoys the challenge of solving problems and finding solutions to complicated projects.
When he’s not at Woodtex, Noah spends his “downtime” on his 100-acre farm, applying his skills in woodworking, metal fabrication, mechanical work, and diesel repair. Doesn’t sound much like downtime!
If you’ve ever witnessed a modular cabin being delivered, you’d see Andrew managing the installation and finishing. He works with the cabin team and communicates with the customer through the process to make sure all needs are met and everything goes according to plan. Andrew enjoys his work greatly, and can’t imagine working with a better group of people. Traveling to new places, meeting new people, and dealing with the unexpected are also a perk of his job.
When Andrew is not at work, he enjoys leading kayak excursions, spending time outdoors, as well as serving people in other countries. Whenever the opportunity to travel arises, Andrew can’t say no… in fact one of his dreams is to visit every country in Africa in his lifetime.
As Cabin Logistics Director, Myron oversees and reviews all cabin plans to ensure all materials are on hand for the Cabins Production Team at the New York Branch. Myron is also responsible for ensuring that each cabin is built to the quality standards of the state, the customer and our company. When not at work, Myron enjoys reading, gardening, trail biking, and spending time with his beautiful wife and four lively children.
Fun fact: Myron did a ‘DIY remodel project’ in the kitchen in his 1800’s house; it turned out absolutely beautiful!
Mike does an outstanding job coordinating the production and installation schedule for cabins. He is involved with the details between the customer and sales advisor in all aspects of cabin design and production. Mike ensures that all materials are ordered, cranes are scheduled, and the Cabin Team has everything they need to turn a dream on paper into an actual cabin. The challenge of this position keeps Mike from getting bored, and he takes great pride in seeing his hard working team bring a customer’s cabin come to life.
Mike claims his out-of-work hobbies include “whatever is awesome”, which may involve playing guitar, spending time with family & friends, and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Rodney leads all Northeast Region Operations for Riverwood Cabins and Woodtex. Rodney and his wife, Lillian, have 4 kids: Jeremiah, Andrew, Charles, and Emma. He enjoys spending time dancing with Emma and wrestling with the boys, and when he has some time to himself, he goes hunting.
A top item on Rodney’s bucket list is driving two cars… at the same time!
Brian joined the Woodtex Team in 2011 and has fulfilled many roles–from delivery to NY Sales Manager to VP of Sales and Marketing. Brian recently accepted the position of Riverwood Cabins Director of Sales, which will allow him to devote his time and energy to what he loves most, developing relationships with people! Brian loves bringing his team together on projects, promoting new ideas, and helping people find solutions to their cabin needs.
When not at work Brian enjoys hunting, sports, fellowshipping with friends and family, living life outdoors, and spending time with his wife and kids.
The top item on Brian’s bucket list: Going on a mission trip to Africa.
Mike joined our team in 2015 to head up our Cabins team–from design and sales, all the way to production, Mike is a man on a mission! Mike and his wife, Julie, have three children: a daughter, Averi, and two sons, Cole and Gavin. Outside of work, Mike loves spending time outside… hunting, fishing, and anything food or sports related.
Fun fact about Mike & Julie: They’ve known each other literally their entire lives. They shared a crib in nursery school!
